Internet Explorer 11 web pages slow to load when Secure Lockdown IE is enabled

I am running Secure Lockdown IE edition Build Number: 2.0.160 on a Windows 10 PC (Windows 10 Version: 10.0.14393).
When SL IE edition is enabled, I find that web pages take much longer to load. For example, a web page that might normally load in 5 seconds may take up to 30 seconds to load when SL is enabled. Once the web page has finally loaded, it appears to stay in cache and loads faster the next time. However, I have SL 'Browser Reset' to Return Home after 5 minutes (this is because it is running on a kiosk, and we need to have the 2 home pages re-load after somebody has been using the kiosk and left it). When SL resets with 'Return Home' the web pages again take a long time to load up. It's almost as if SL is clearing the cache when it does this.

Can anybody help?

Regards
Ross

Do you have the IE Lockdown > IE Reset > Delete Cache option selected? If so, disable it.

Are there ads (or other hidden calls to other URL like Facebook likes, etc) on the page? Are you using the Allowed Sites feature? If so, if the ad URLs are not in the Allowed Sites list, the browser will attempt to load them causing the slow load time.

How do I ascertain if the web pages are making 'Ad' calls to hidden URLS? And how do I found out what those calls/URLS are so I can include them in 'Allowed Sites?"

As a test, if you disable the Allowed Sites feature, the pages should load quicker. You'll need to view the source code of the webpages and look for embedded URLs that call ads, etc.

BTW, Chrome (Secure Lockdown - Chrome Edition) does not have this issue (it's much better at white listing than IE).
