Hi

I have Inteset Secure Lockdown v2 - Chrome Edition installed on a kiosk using Windows 8 and Windows 10 In  kiosk mode users can use a pinch gesture to zoom the page.  How can I disable that?

Thanks.

There is no longer a way to disable pinch-zoom in Chrome directly (there used to be a Chrome flag that would do this). Typically, there is a Touch screen app provided by the PC vendor that will have a setting to disable that feature system wide.

Also, you can try this:

Press Start button on the keyboard, type Mouse & Touchpad settings and select the top most search result.
From the window click on Additional mouse option.
Click on the Device Settings tab and click on Settings button.
From the left side panel, click Pinch Zoom option and uncheck the box Enable Pinch Zoom.
Click on Apply and OK.
Close the window and check if the changes are effective.

Chrome 49 can disable via Flags, but currently I cannot get Inteset to recognize chrome 49 as an installed chrome browser.

Hi there,

I'm looking to remove the ability to pinch/zoom too, however this is on a Windows 10 tablet so there are no mouse settings available. Is there any way to stop pinch/zoom using the Secure Lockdown tool or Windows 10 without the mouse settings?

Did you look for the device manufacturer's touchscreen app (usually found in the "hidden icons" area of the task bar")? It may have a setting to disable "pinch/zoom". Also, you can try disabling the following Chrome Flag: chrome://flags/#touch-events.

Thanks for those suggestions. I'll test them and provide an update but wanted to check if this functionality was available directly via the application itself.
