Onscreen Keyboard Helper V1.006 - Could not save settings

I'm using the Onscreen Keyboard Helper version 1.006 on Windows 8.1 Pro. When I try to save the settings, it shows the following message: Could not save settings.

The On-screen Keyboard Helper was deigned more for Windows 7. Try following configuration options for the Touch Keyboard found here.
