Hello,
I have Asrock E350M1 motherboard and CIR Receiver w/Cable and a Custom Mounting Bracket for use with ASRock CIR Motherboards.
My remote control is RC-6 compatible - i.e.ARCTIC MCR1 Media Center Remote Control with wavelength 940nm (http://www.alza.cz/arctic-mcr1-media-center-remote-control-d290858.htm).
I enabled CIR in Bios and then I installed latest CIR driver under Windows 7 Home edition without any problems
Issue with Remote Control:
1) when Win7 are ON and I am pointing directly to CIR receiver (LOS and ~1m distance), RC doesnt work.
2) when Win7 are ON and I am poiting with 90° against CIR receiver (LOS and ~1m distance), RC works.
3) when Win7 are OFF and I am pointing directly to CIR receiver (LOS and ~1m distance), RC starts up Win 7 from S5 (this option works fine).
I dont have any light around, I was also trying to shade CIR by aluminium plate, but it did not help.
I was using also USB IR receiver from intenset with the same RC without any problem.
No idea what can be wrong with CIR receiver...
Thanks for help in advance.
Martin
