Allowing wireless management

We are testing Secure LockDown Multi for possible use on about a dozen mobile Windows 8 PCs, but we need one of the icons on the circle dock to allow the user to connect to wireless networks as they travel. We have tried a few different options, shortcuts that launch the networks list on the charms bar, a shortcut to the Network and Sharing Center to allow for a manual connection, etc., but when LockDown is running the charms bar won't appear, and the Network/Sharing Center launches and then immediately closes. Any suggestions to make that work?  The app is working great for all of the other programs we need to launch, but we need to allow the user to manage the wireless networks. Thanks for your help!

For security reasons, the Windows Wireless Network tools are not allowed. Doing so would give access to the Control Panel, etc. Most Wifi card manufactures supply software utilities to assist in selecting a wifi connection and diagnostic utilities. Use that software instead. For example, Intel provides a wireless utility called "Intel PROSet/Wireless WifFi Connection Utility" which works with all of their WiFi cards. Many notebooks use Intel's WiFi chipset. Check in the Windows Device manager to see what WiFi card is in use and search for a utility for that device.

Many of our customers use a product called "WeFi" which is a free WiFi management utility that will work with Secure Lockdown.
