Secure lockdown removing menu/URL search

Hello,

My company is thinking about buying secure lockdown, but currently while testing it we are having 2 issues. Hopefully someone can tell us if it's user error or a bug. The computers being used are Windows 8 so not sure if that makes a difference with your software.

After setting up secure lockdown with the settings we want (specifically the IE settings for the issue) we log into the account and it pulls up IE just fine and looks normal. (As it should) But the moment we close IE and open it again all we get is the homepage we set with no tabs no menu at the top no URL browser. Which in turn makes this worthless.

The second concern is do we need to have the users set as Admin? I ask because when we setup the software on a regular user level the UAC appears twice asking for our admin password. Which really defeats the point of an admin password if we need to give it to our agents.

Thanks

Secure Lockdown IE Edition can modify IE layout features. Please review those settings in the configuration utility. Also, make sure something else is not starting IE on Windows startup. Note, you should not have it set up as a Background App as Secure Lockdown starts IE automatically without those settings.

Be sure UAC is turned off so that you do not receive the popup messages.

Yes, Secure Lockdown must be run under an Administrator account as the app acts under the context of the user and removes features otherwise not adjustable by Standard users.
