Allowed Sites Not working

When allowing a site with the wildcard example http://*.google.com/*   It will not allow you to navigate away from the home page .

If you're using Secure Lockdown -Chrome Edition, you do not need the asterisks. Try 'http://google.com'.

This is for IE 11

Do you have the 'Allowed Sites' option enabled? What is not working?

Yes I have it enabled.. We want costumers who come into our store to be able to view our website. I have the url as a wildcard, but when you open IE and try to maneuver from the home page you get the restricted site pop up so you can not browse the website.
