Chrome Lockdown - Allowed Sites Issue

Hello,

I am using Inteset Secure Lockdown™
ver. 2.0
Chrome Edition

In the "allowed Sites" tab I have listed specific pages and sites to allow and checked the "Enable" checkbox so that no other sites will be permitted.

However, when I enable and run the software, I am still able to open popup windows allowing sign in to social media and sites that I do not have in the list!

in addition, some sites which are blocked go completely full screen with an error message saying "Webpage Blocked" with a "More" button, but then I am stuck there forever and can never return to my site or my navigation... am I doing something wrong?

thanks!

Please supply the URLs you're listing in the Allowed Sites list and we will check them to ensure proper syntax.

I am running a local site though chrome at localhost.

We will have a table that displays information at a large trade show. One of the options allows for the website http://www.flychicago.com to display in an iframe.

However, we do not want to allow people to navigate to facebook or twitter etc.

We run the entire kiosk in kiosk mode so there are no bars or anything visible at top or bottom.

Here is the list of sites in our allowed list.

http://www.flychicago.com
http://localhost
http://localhost/*

on flychicago.com click on 'Midway' then click the box on the bottom center that says "AIRchicago" this link takes you to www.iheart.com, which is blocked. Your program allows the browser to switch to a giant blank page that says Webpage Blocked" but then I'm stuck because I'm in kiosk mode and i can't go anywhere else causing me to have to reboot and making this product a fail for me.

thanks for your help!

You do have that file path (Chrome can operate without it). You may need to unhide hidden folders, or just type in the folder path in Explorer.

Please use the following URLs in the Allowed Sites list:

You don't need any other URLs or wildcards.

The "Return to Home" feature is working in our tests after configuring Secure Lockdown the way you've described (with the above changes).

We will investigate to see if there is a way to automatically go to the previous page if the "Webpage Blocked" message appears.

Thanks.  I use a similar program on the MAC, when we use macs and its called wKiosk, I think.

That one doesn't even allow the broswer to begin to navigate to a page that is blocked. it just displays a small message that says overlays the top of the page you are on...
