I am running a Win 7 desktop as a stand-alone kiosk, not on a domain, auto-logging into a generic account with Chrome Lockdown v2 instantly starting up with 3 tabs for only the homepages we need and everything looks great.........
But once in Chrome, you can open another tab and the gates are wide open for a user to go anywhere they want. I thought with Allowed sites enabled, the software will ONLY allow those sites I listed?
System Lockdown Tab:
Local Level - everything checked
Machine Level - everything checked BUT No USB Drives
Chrome Lockdown Tab:
General Options -
Checked
No Open Dialog, No Right-click Menu, No Chrome Login, No Web Store, No Extensions, No Omnibox Search, Incognito Mode
Unchecked
No Printing, No Downloads, Safe Browsing, No Auto Fill, No Incognito Browsing, No History, Delete Cache
Layout options -
Checked
Keep Maximized, No Edit Bookmarks, No Home Button, No Chrome Menus
Unchecked -
Kiosk Mode, No Fullscreen, No Bookmark Bar
Browser Reset
Checked
Restart Chrome (Inactive 5 min)
Allowed Sites -
Checked
Enable
What am I doing wrong and how can I only allow those sites listed?
