Is this running a 32bit OS or 64bit?

32bit.

We have a Dell XPS 18 tablet running 64bit that works correctly.

If you access the "c:\program files\inteset\secure lockdown - MAE\CircleDock\" folder and double-click on the "CircleDock.exe" file does it crash? It should do nothing.

Yes.  I get the same "Circle Dock has stopped working" prompt when I double-click on CircleDock.exe.

CircleDock is crashing because it needs a standard feature set of Windows that is either missing or corrupted. We are trying to narrow down what feature it could be, but if you know of any Windows features that were removed on this device, that would help in the resolution.

Please make sure you have the .Net 2.0 Framework installed. This should already be installed as part of Windows 8.1. If it is not, that is the problem and the Framework will need to be installed. The location of the Framework folder is:

C:\windows\microsoft.net\framework\

There are folders for:
v1.0.3705
v1.1.4322
v2.0.50727
v3.0
v3.5
v4.0.30319

I haven't changed much from the standard installation that the tablet came with other than to install all of the Windows Updates.

That folder structure is correct. The specific file CircleDock is crashing on is "System.Management.dll" it is possible that file is corrupted. Do you have another Dell Venue 8 to test?

I do not have another Dell Venue 8.

I just tried to enable/disable  .NET 3.5 (includes 2.0).  I now receive an error when I attempt to enable .NET 3.5.  System Restore isn't helping so I'll need to request restore media from Dell.

Doing a factory reset on the device resolved the issue.  Thank you for your assistance.
