PC running windows 7 and internet explorer and touch screen monitor. If I click on the links of the web pages without activating "Inteset Secure Lockdown v2 - Internet Explorer Edition" one single clic works. activating your software every link needs two clicks.
Do you know why?

Thank you
Best regards

It's likely an issue with the touch screen drivers (which are manufacturer specific) conflicting with the Secure Lockdown key blocking mechanism. You may have to disable that mechanism. You can read how to do this in the Administration Guide included with Secure Lockdown.

I've just purchased for a proof of concept system and I had the same problem. That is:
When Lockdown is activated, our application suddenly needs two clicks on every button instead of the normal 'one'.

Adding the DisableBlockKeys=1 indeed helps solving this issue.
However.......then the windows key (and also for instance ALT-TAB) is not blocked anymore, allowing for a user to mess things up!

We are looking into this app to use on a much larger scale, and although the application seems to works very well otherwise, this is a game stopper.  Please assist.

Best regards,

Martijn

What OS are you using? This issue doesn't occur with the Windows 8 and above native touch/gesture drivers.

The most expedient solution is to upgrade to Windows 8 or 10. We cannot guarantee a solution to this issue in the near term. Note that there are many iterations of Win 7 touch drivers from different manufacturers (including Microsoft's). It is difficult to program against this. The problem goes away beyond Win 7.

That really is a shame. We cannot go to W8 or W10 for many other reasons.

However, what surprises me most is that many key combinations are still caught even though DisableBlockKeys=1

So wouldn't it be possible to have DisableBlockKeys=1 and still block ALT-TAB and ALT-F4 ?

What other keys are you referring to? It may be that those keys are disabled by a method native to Windows. The BlockKeys method in Secure Lockdown hijacks the Windows key processing and disregards defined keystrokes. This apparently causes problems with the Windows 7 touch implementation (the touch drivers are likely relying on the same low level hook).
