Recover Password

I reviewed the Forum for Secure Lockdown and found a 2-year old item which stated there is no way to recover or change an existing PW as I also have taken over for someone who left and do not know it.  Since then is there a way to recover it?  I appreciate your help.

If the unit is not locked down, yes. Otherwise, if you have another admin account on the system, you could load the locked down accounts registry hive and find, then delete the Password key name under the HKCU\Software\Inteset\Secure Lockdown key.

You can actually just copy and paste the string value from the Password key into the application and it will unlock.  This assumes you have registry access to the machine via another local login or remotely.

This is not the case with newer releases of Secure Lockdown. The password is field is encrypted and won't work with copy and paste.
