Allowed Websites List

I have 20 locations that we use the multi-app lockdown on. Any time our HR makes a change in policy or providers that requires a change in the list of websites that we allow, I have to go to each site and make those changes.

Are there plans to add the functionality that the systems can be pointed to our existing account(s) to have a managed website list that doesn't require time and travel to modify (since we already have an account here at Inteset with license management)?

This feature is in the queue for development. It's not clear when it will be completed at this point, but it should be soon.

Hi Folks,

+1 for this feature - sounds like a great idea.
Can I suggest the inclusion of different profiles within this so that we can maintain different whitelists for a single account and point the clients to the distinct whitelist names/codes when configuring. This would be useful where we deploy PCs with the lockdown software for different purposes within a single organisation/account. Eg. at the institution I work for (a public library), I would like to have:

- A whitelist for a touchscreen wayfinding device that is limited to two domains
- a whitelist for a bunch of catalogue search machines that is limited to a dozen domains.

Cheers,

Tom

STILL waiting for this feature. I still have to go to each location for any change made, to add or change allowed sites.
My exec staff are suggesting moving to a different product as this takes a lot of my time.
Is this ever going to happen? If not, let me know so I can find a replacement product, please.

If registered with the Inteset Remote Management Services, you can save the settings of a particular system, then copy those settings to any number of machines running the same edition of Secure Lockdown. This will do what you need.

In more specific terms (because specific instructions are so much better than vague instructions, don't you think?), do you mean that I can 1) go to a managed device that currently has the complete changes I want to push to the other devices, 2) click on the Create Settings Template icon, and when that completes, 3) go to the other managed devices and click on Import Settings, select the template I've just created, and click Import?

Yes. Sorry for the vague instructions.
