Secure Lockdown Chrome Edition + Keyboard Helper - no modifier keys

For some reason, on half of my kiosks, the keyboard's fourth option, with all modifier keys, is disabled. I read somewhere that this was due to a keyboard being plugged in, however, none of the podiums have a keyboard plugged in, and rather all rely on a touchscreen.

How can I ensure they're enabled? (This is so I can unlock the podium if need be)

This question is not understood (ie "...the keyboard's fourth option, with all modifier keys..."). Can you provide more detail?

Are you guys not familiar with what a modifier key is?

https://en.wikipedia.org/?title=Modifier_key

You can change between the different keyboard options. Like simplified, split (so the right and left hand are separated), etc. The fourth one is the full keyboard that adds the modifier keys, like shift, alt, ctrl, etc. I need to have access to those to unlock Secure Lockdown, but on half of the kiosks, that fourth keyboard is not available, effectively locking me out if I was to reboot and not have a physical keyboard handy.

Unfortunately, it's not easy to access these things. It takes me nearly 30 minutes to get into the physical frame so it's really not an option to do that for 17 kiosks.

I remember there being some kind of notification that asked me if I wanted to disable it while a keyboard was present, and that's fine. However, it's not reverting back when there's no keyboard.

Secure Lockdown does disable several key sequences. It does not disable the onscreen keyboard itself or any of the various keyboard types. If you want to disable the key blocking function of Secure Lockdown, there is an option to do this described in the Administrator Guide. The option is called "Disable Block System Keys" found under the Guide's "Hidden Secure Lockdown Features" section.

No, I don't believe we're talking about the same thing, and I know for a fact it's an Inteset feature, because it even explained the rationale of disabling those keys as to prevent individuals from being able to use the on screen keyboard to use the alt-shift-s combination. This has nothing to do with Chrome keyboard combinations.

Something about either your Secure Lockdown or your Keyboard Helper software disabled those keys to further secure the system.

Whenever you use the tablet keyboard, you can choose the keyboard type. There are four keyboards to choose from. The fourth one is the one that includes all of the modifier keys, including shift, alt and control. This is what the software disabled.

I found the Windows 8 option to enable it as the "standard keyboard."

Are you sure your software doesn't disable that? I remember getting a popup multiple times that said it would be disabled to prevent individuals from using the virtual keyboard to unlock the node.

Secure Lockdown does enable the full virtual keyboard if there is no physical keyboard attached, but it does not disable any of the keyboard options. You can switch between them.

I see. So it was the other way around. You had enabled it on some. It may be worth putting this information in the documentation, as it doesn't reference the fact that you enable it at all.

There is complete information regarding this functionality in the User Guide under the "Use with Tablets and Touch Devices" section.

Except it doesn't actually work as it says. It says it's supposed to check whenever you activate Secure Lockdown, but it doesn't. We've reboot many times, and there's no physical keyboard, yet at least half had the standard keyboard disabled.
