OnScreenKeyboardHelper toggle button not showing during Secure Lockdown

Hi,

Using Inteset Secure Lockdown Version 2.0 Build 2.00.124 on an Elitepad 1000 Windows 8.1.

Have set a desktop LNK to a modern app as the Master App in Secure Lockdown, this is working fine.

Running OnScreenKeyboardHelper with the Windows Tablet PC Input panel set as default, with the helper set to launch on login, toggle button enabled and working. During the lockdown process, just before the Master App is launched, I can see the OSKH toggle button on my desktop.

However the toggle button is not visible when the master modern app launches. So I fall at the first hurdle, sitting at the app's login screen with no physical keyboard and no ability to invoke the OSK (which does not appear automatically when text fields are selected as is the case when Secure Lockdown is not enabled).

I need to dock the device to my physical keyboard in order to access and disable the Secure Lockdown feature. When I enter the ALT-SHFT-S combination the Inteset Dialog box is immediately presented on my desktop and I can see the OSKH toggle button sitting there too.

Is the OSKH toggle button supposed to be visible on top of a modern app? If not, how do I access an OSK when running a modern app as master under secure lockdown?

Anybody got any ideas please?

TIA
Ray.

The OSKH app will not work under Windows 8.1 Modern UI mode. Try upgrading to Windows 10 whereby you can run Modern UI apps in Desktop mode. Then it will work.

Many thanks for reply.

So essentially then, Inteset Secure Lockdown under Windows 8.1 with a modern app running requiring OSkeyboard access set as the main target, will not work unless further investment in the form of another 3rd party OSK utility is made, is this correct?

If this is a correct assumption, and I remain open to correction or advice to the contrary, then it does seem remiss of Inteset not to publicise this incompatibility more clearly to users in advance of testing / purchase.

I have since moved to Windows's Assigned Access  functionality which does everything I need.
