IE refreshes rather than changing pages

We have several Kiosks set up that we direct patients to in order to complete health histories.  When working properly, the patient selects that they are an existing patient, and clicks a button to move into the health history.  Lately we have had multiple cases were they click on the button that should move them into the health history, but all that happens is the page refreshes itself, removing our logo in the corner, and instead shows the placeholder icon common in IE for pictures that didn't load (black square with a white x in it).  If I disable Secure Lockdown, it will work normally once again after the restart or log-off and then log-on.  I re-enable Secure Lockdown, and it will work fine once again until the Kiosks sit idle for a period of time.  I've already set Internet Explorer to restart after 5 minutes of inactivity, but it appears that it only restarts if you are off the home page.  IE doesn't seem to restart if you leave it on the home page, and that is where the problem page is.  Suggestions?

The IE Lockdown > Browser Reset > Restart IE option is not dependent on any particular page. It should restart regardless of the page it's on. However, it will only restart if there was activity. If after it restarts, there is no activity, it will not restart.

Regarding the images, etc not displaying, do you have the IE Lockdown > Browser Reset > Delete Cache option enabled?

Also, was this working consistently previously?

Thanks for the prompt reply.

Yes the Delete Cache option is checked.  I didn't know it wouldn't restart if there was no interaction.

The website we have to use was changed a few weeks ago, and the problem pretty much started with that change so no I can't say that it ever worked with this particular site other than after a fresh re-start.

Try disabling the "Delete Cache" option.

Disabling Cache may have helped a bit, but we still have the issue.  The Kiosk computers had to be restarted twice yesterday because of this problem.  Is there any way I can force a refresh or restart of IE every hour or so even if they sit idle the entire time?

You could use the "System Lockdown > Log off / Restart > Restart System > Restart after" option.
