Application Restart (Options?)

Hi -

I purchased Secure Lockdown for use on a Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit system utilized as a Media Center with the Kodi 15.2 Isengard application implemented. Since this is the only active application on the system that predominately runs (other than basic background services), I use Secure Lockdown to keep anyone from accessing the rest of my network.

The Inteset program works flawlessly - Kodi however, has an occasional tendency to crash which Secure Lockdown handles nicely by restarting the application upon it's exit. However, when Kodi bombs, it also takes out some of the background applications that support it (such as the PNP drivers that support the FLIRC remote) and these don't get restarted.

Is there a way either through the program itself or a RegEdit that would instruct Secure Lockdown to restart the entire system instead of just Kodi when an "Application Exit" occurs? I reviewed the "hidden commands" discussed in the Administrator guide, but there is nothing on implementing a system restart that would allow all the drivers to reinitialize so I don't have to hard reboot the system..

Thanks!

You can create a Windows Task Schedule that restarts the machine based on an Event. You can define a Trigger that fires when the following event occurs:

TRIGGER:
Task Type: On an event...
Log: Application
Source: Secure Lockdown
Event ID: 1005

ACTION:
Action: Start a program
Program: "shutdown"
Arguments: /r

Set up the Event trigger as instructed and running manually, it works great! Of course, I won't know how it works with everything until Kodi decides to dump again, but I'll update if something goes sideways on it.

Thanks for the quick reply and creative solution!
