Hello all,
We recently experienced an issue with the lockdown USB disable command. While we had the machine locked down no new USB devices were recognized, this is what we expected so that was okay. However, over time and many reboots, the software stopped allowing any USB devices, including the ones that were previously connect and used to lock down the computer, that is our first problem. Our second problem is that when the computers were unlocked, remotely (because we could not connect the keyboard), the USB devices were still not being recognized. After SEVERAL reboots I was able to connect using one, and only one, port. This is a huge problem being that we have hundreds of units spread across the country with several separate tech units in the field. Is this something that has been seen before? If so, how do we go about fixing this? It is quite the inconvenience and we will not be using that feature moving forward to avoid this issue again.
To sum that all up we have two problems:
1) USB devices (Keyboard and Mouse) that were used to lock down the computer are no longer recognized essentially forever locking the computer.
2) If the computer was able to be unlocked, remotely, we are still unable to connect to any USB devices.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Chris
